Godzilla (Gojira) Movie Guide Questions & Worksheet helps students analyze a serious Japanese science-fiction film about fear, public crisis, scientific responsibility, and the shadow of nuclear destruction. Rather than treating the movie as simple monster action, this guide asks students to follow how dialogue, public debate, and sacrifice turn Godzilla into a larger allegory.

This movie guide is well suited to ELA, media literacy, film study, and discussion-based classes in Grades 7-12. Teachers can pause at key time-stamped scenes to examine folklore, scientific evidence, government response, and the moral conflict surrounding the Oxygen Destroyer.

The resource combines discussion, short-answer analysis, vocabulary in context, and a multiple-choice review with accessible language. Because the questions stay tied to film dialogue and scene evidence, students can explore nuclear-age themes and ethical choices without needing later franchise knowledge or outside lore.

Film Summary:

After mysterious disasters at sea and on Odo Island, Japan faces a gigantic creature whose existence is linked to radiation and modern weapons testing. As fear spreads, Professor Yamane argues for study, Ogata pushes for action, and Dr. Serizawa's Oxygen Destroyer creates a final moral dilemma about whether one terrible weapon can be used without unleashing another age of destruction.
