Free Halloween Activity Frankenstein Movie Guide | Questions | Worksheet | Google (NR – 1931) challenges students to explore one of the earliest film versions of this classic scary story. Compare the style of this old, classic, black and white movie to modern day scary movies. Discuss if Henry deserves to have his wedding day interrupted by his creation and if this is an example of poetic justice. Debate whether nature or nurture caused Frankenstein’s monster to become dangerous. Finally, ask students to research the origins of Mary Shelley’s 1818 Frankenstein, the meaning of the surname, and how common the surname is today.
NOTE: The full length movie is available for free at the link below, however, I do not own this link and suggest you make sure it is available and preview the film before you are ready to show it in class.
