Two Ways to Use FireFlash

• Online — individual Learn → Review → Mastery: Teachers share an authorized web-app link or QR code. Students work through animated explanations and practice with feedback. A qualifying completed online session supports a printable completion certificate. No individual student accounts or recurring FireFlash subscription are required; reports are not automatically sent to a gradebook.
• Offline — teacher-led whole-class projection: Each topic includes a standalone interactive HTML file. Open it from your computer in a modern browser after downloading; no internet is needed for teacher-guided explanations, predictions and group responses. The offline version does not produce individual completion certificates or sync student progress.

Keep the teacher code private; pupils use teacher-created student links or QR codes instead. The supplemental download is not an eleventh Grade 2 science topic.

Topics and NGSS Connections

Physical Science: material properties and tests, choosing materials, taking objects apart and rebuilding, and heating or cooling changes (2-PS1-1 through 2-PS1-4).

Life Science: comparing habitats, investigating plants' needs, and showing how animals move pollen and seeds (2-LS4-1, 2-LS2-1 and 2-LS2-2).

Earth Science: fast and slow land changes, erosion protection, maps of land and water, and where water is found on Earth (2-ESS1-1 and 2-ESS2-1 through 2-ESS2-3).

NGSS Alignment: These animations and practice questions support selected Grade 2 science ideas and provide partial conceptual alignment. They do not by themselves fulfill performance expectations that require students to carry out physical investigations, design original models or construct explanations independently.
