12-Week Course Structure

  • Unit 1 | Weeks 1-3 | Episodes #01-#12: Statistical Thinking, Data & Research Design
  • Unit 2 | Weeks 4-6 | Episodes #13-#23: Probability, Uncertainty & Statistical Inference
  • Unit 3 | Weeks 7-9 | Episodes #24-#35: Bayesian Reasoning, Statistical Tests & Models

Week 6: Three P-value/power episodes are followed by the student-facing Should We Believe This Claim? application lesson, then W06.

Weeks 10-11: Each has an intentional open Day 4 for catch-up, discussion, reteaching, selected daily-guide questions, or teacher-chosen application. No thin filler worksheet is required.

Week 12: Episodes #42-#44 close the playlist. Day 4 is available for cumulative review or selected U04 work. Day 5 is the cumulative Final; there is intentionally no separate W12 weekly assessment.

Assessment System

The assessment files are flexible item banks rather than mandatory one-period tests.

  • Weekly Assessments W01-W11: 12 vocabulary terms, 10 A/B written-response questions, and 30 multiple-choice questions per bank.
  • Unit Assessments U01-U04: 15 vocabulary terms, 12 A/B written-response questions, and 40 multiple-choice questions per bank.
  • Cumulative Final: 20 vocabulary terms, 15 A/B written-response questions, and 60 multiple-choice questions.

Teachers may assign full banks, choose a class-period subset, split sections across days, reserve unused questions for retakes/intervention, or use unit assessments as replacement checkpoints.
