Try one lesson first: FREE Episode #1 - What is Philosophy?

The curriculum combines all 46 individual episode lesson sets with 11 weekly assessment banks, 4 cumulative unit assessment banks, a 60-question cumulative Final, an Educator Planning Guide, and a Student Syllabus. Standard pacing uses the cumulative Final on Week 11 Day 5; the W11 weekly bank is retained as an optional/alternate assessment bank.

Across the course, students move from philosophical reasoning, reality, knowledge, science, and arguments about God into existence, personal identity, personhood, free will, language, aesthetics, metaethics, normative ethical theories, justice, responsibility, obligation, and the good life.

Optional Classroom Video Guide Companion

Use the free Classroom Video Guide Companion Chrome extension optionally with YouTube. It can automatically pause the video at question timestamps and display prompts during viewing, making whole-class, small-group, and independent video lessons easier to facilitate. The complete curriculum works normally without the extension.

  • Reasoning carefully about controversial questions while attributing positions to the relevant philosopher, theory, or episode
