Classroom Use at a Glance
60-minute teacher PD simulation on student walkouts, supervision, destination risk, school support procedures, documentation, and re-entry. Includes professional noticing, four progressive reps with debriefs, a critical-contrast replay, closing reflection/transfer evidence, a completion record, Professional Learning Certificate of Completion, and Administrator PD Approval Sheet.
Practice a real teaching decision instead of just reading about one. The Walkout is a designed 60-minute Classroom Reps professional-learning simulation in which educators notice classroom cues, choose plausible responses, observe consequences, reassess, recover when needed, compare a critical contrast, and connect the learning to their own setting.
60-minute teacher PD simulation on student walkouts, supervision, destination risk, school support procedures, documentation, and re-entry.
What you will practice
- Reading destination risk, available support, and remaining-class supervision before responding to a walkout
- Activating the appropriate school support process without creating a second supervision problem
- Distinguishing routine walkout management from imminent-danger response and trained physical intervention
- Using documentation, re-entry, and pattern review after immediate safety has been restored
How the 60-minute module works
- Orientation + professional noticing - 5 minutes
- Rep 1 + debrief - 9 minutes
- Rep 2 + debrief - 9 minutes
- Rep 3 + debrief - 9 minutes
- Rep 4: apply the skill in a new situation + debrief - 9 minutes
- Actual-path critical-contrast replay - 8 minutes
- Paired closing reflection + local-procedure connection - 11 minutes
Scenario setup: In an eighth-grade cross-curricular classroom, students are completing an independent written response before class discussion when one student leaves the room without permission.
Professional-learning documentation
- Task-gated 60-minute completion design; idle time does not count toward completion
- Four progressive practice reps with module-specific debriefs
- Critical-contrast replay and closing reflection/transfer evidence
- Professional Learning Certificate of Completion
- Administrator PD Approval Sheet and completion evidence structure
Professional framework alignment
- Danielson Framework for Teaching — 2a, 2c, 2d, 2e
- InTASC Standard 3 — Learning Environments
